Citizens and Politicians on vacation, the ‘battle’ continues on August 15

-

The voting of the re-balance of the budget on Friday (29 July 2016) was the last act of Parliament before the summer vacations started, which usually last two weeks.

One day before, the amendments to the Law on Internal Affairs, the Law On Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, the Law on the Criminal Code, and the Law on Government were all passed in Parliament, which had been agreed on by the representatives of the political parties.

Besides politicians going on vacation, a large number of citizens are using this period to go on vacation themselves, which can be felt in the empty streets of the cities. Of course, August 2, a national holiday, is another opportunity for citizens to get away for the weekend. Some put the weekend and their vacation together.

On the 15 August, it is expected that the political battle will continue and strengthen, and the composition of the ad hoc body to regulate the media will be made public, as well as the chief editor of the MTV which will be proposed by the SDSM. At the end of the month, it will be known whether there will be early parliamentary elections on December the 11th.

Some of the politicians will be back at work after the national holiday.

Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov will attend the celebration at the Ilinden Memorial complex in Pelince and the President of the Parliament Trajko Veljanoski, will be in Skopje at the monument of Metodi Andonov-Cento, the President of the Presidium of ASNOM.

The Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev will head a delegation of the central celebration of Mechkin Kamen in Krusevo. They will lay flowers at the tomb of Nikola Karev, at the place of Sliva and at the monument to the defenders of the Krusevo Republic Meckin Kamen, where they will hold a national gathering.

In Krusevo, for Ilinden, horsemen traditionally arrive for the Ilinden march, and the city from today will host the scientific-cultural meetings “The Ten Days of the Krusevo Republic”.
