Cicakovski: Thorough check of the voters’ list can not be carried out by April 24

-

Elections on April 24 can technically be carried out, but not with out a thorough check of the voters’ list. This is part of what was said in the statement by the President of the State Election Commission Alexander Cicakovski, which was given to the political parties in the MPs Clubhouse to discuss the electoral process.
“To the question of whether elections can be carried out on April 24, my answer is that the technically, they can be, however checking and updating the voter lists can not be carried out, which means that it we can not ensure the voters’ list in which we all have confidence in”, said Mr Cicakovski.
The statement says that it is unable to be precise on how long it will take to update the voters’ list and if we want to have confidence in the voter list, the SEC will need at least three to four months.
