Polling stations opened on time, voting has been running smoothly and for now there is no information on any major irregularities, reported the President of the State Election Commission, Aleksandar Chichakovski at a press conference in the SEC.
Throughout constituencies until 10:00 am, voter turnout is around 11%. On a national level the turnout so far is 9.49%.
“Turnout in Constituency 1 is (11.05%), in Constituency 2 is (9.70%), in Constituency 3 is (11.36 percent), Constituency 4 is (11.29%), Constituency 5 is (9.05%) and Constituency 6 is (5.10%)”, stated Chichakovski.
In terms of complaints from citizens, for violations of the right to vote which were received by the SEC this morning, Chichakovski noted that “those complaints will be processed within four hours and then decisions in relation to them will be made” and the public will be informed.
Data from the Diaspora votes are still being processed and will be announced during the day. Data from votes by inmates, the sick and displaced persons will be announced after 19:00.
The next press conference at the SEC is scheduled for 14:00 pm.
