Chichakovski: Fair and democratic elections are a condition for Macedonia’s further development

The President f the State Election Commission (SEC), ALeksandar Chichakovski has called upon all of the participansts in the elections to secure fair and democratic elections by obeying the Constitution and the laws of Republic of macedonia. In an interview given for the state agency MIA, he stresses that tomorrow’s local elections are a condition for the country’s further development and that SEC will do everything for achieving a succesful election day.

-In the name of all members of SEC, I call upon all participants in the elections, the election administration, political parties, citizens, to provide fair and democratic elections by obeying the Constitution and the laws of Republic of Macedonia. The citizens of Republic of Macedonia expect SEC and the election administration to provide fair and democratic elections that are a predicament for Republic of Macedonia’s further development – said Chichakovski.

He promised that SEC will do everything the election day to be successful.

-I call upon municipalities’ election commissions and election boards and especially the political parties to obey all regulations and all together to receive great marks from international and domestic observers for the complete election process – said Chichakovski.

According to him, SEC has finished all of the activities to prepare and organize the local elections 2017.

-The election list presents a good basis for carrying out authentic and fair elections and it is a product of the current legal frame and the current degree of data accuracy as was obtained from the Ministry of Interior, Civil Registry Office, Basic Courts and other institutions – said SEC’s president.
