Cavusoglu: A great injustice is incurred to Macedonia

-

The relations between the two states, Macedonia’s priorities, the memberships in the EU and NATO, as well as the political situation in the country and abroad, were the subjects that were discussed the ministers of foreign affairs of Turkey and Macedonia, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Nikola Dimitrov.

Cavusoglu said that Macedonia can serve as an example for all other countries when it comes to bilateral relations, and he expressed his support for receiving a membership in NATO.

-Turkey has been supporting Macedonia in every area and we shall be doing that in the forthcoming period. Macedonia deserves its NATO membership the most and the issue with the name is a great injustice towards this country. We shall insist on EU not interfering in the internal policies – said Cavusoglu.

For Dimitrov, Macedonia enjoys Turkey’s support on all issues related to bilateral relations.

-Turkey is the sixth biggest investor in Macedonia. We had concrete ideas with the Minister since there is an interest by big Turkish companies to invest in our country. Turkey carries an enormous load in global terms when it comes to terrorism since it faces with security challenges. We concluded that the cooperation on the level of security with the police and the intelligence agencies is on a pleasing level – said the head of the Macedonian diplomacy.
