Embassy of Britain sent an announcement, in which it says that the charges for Zaev are very serious and that it is essential all institutions to respect the principles of law and to meet the highest international standards.
“United Kingdom received information for prosecution against Zoran Zaev with concern. It is essential, as in any court case, all institutions in Macedonia to respect the principles of the rule of law, including the presumption of innocence, and to meet the highest international standards in the process. The United Kingdom also expresses its concern about the deterioration of the political dialogue in the country and urges political parties to do everything they can to improve the situation,” announced the Embassy.
