Several hundred people gathered again today to protest outside the Interior Ministry, where they demanded that Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski set up police protection around the roundabout in Butel so the construction of the 55 metre high cross can continue without obstruction.
“Radio Free Europe” reported that today’s protest was led by the Mayor of Butel, Petre Latinovski, and among those present was the President of the Municipal Council, Bobi Bojchevski.
The President of the Council to Municipality of Butel, Bojchevski said that the plan to build the cross remains and all measures requested by the donor or the World Macedonian Congress will be taken.
