The municipality of Chair and the Ministry of Economy will be financing the project for the refurbishment of shop windows od 97 stores at the Old Bazaar. This was announced today by the Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi who attended the signing of the agreement with the Mayor of Chair municipality, Visar Ganiu.
“The Ministry of Economy provided 9.7 million denars while the municipality of Chair provided 2 more million denars, informed Minister Bektashi. With this, we plan to make the Old Bazaar to be more attractive both for domestic and foreign tourists
The minister announced that next week, the municipality will sign an agreement for financing the project with the World Bank which will close the financial construction for the refurbishing. This means that next year a total of million euros will be spent in the renewal of the Old Bazaar.
The refurbishing of the shop windows will be finished by the end of this year while the complete refurbishing of the Bazaar should be over by the end of next year, informed Bekteshi.
He assured that with the reconstruction of the shops and the cobbled road the authentic looks of the bazaar will not be disrupted.
