The participation of the US Vice President, Mike Pence, at the meeting of the Adriatic Bill on the 2nd of August in Podgorica, that will be presided by the Republic of Macedonia, is a confirmation of Washington’s dedication to the region, said the American Ambassador in Macedonia, Jess Baily.
-The purpose of Vice President Pence’s visit is to talk with the partners and allies from the region about USA’s dedication to this region. I think we shall hear a message with this subject. That is the goal of this visit. The Adriatic Bill, that the USA is a part of through Republic of Macedonia and other regional members, is a wonderful forum at which he may address and to get acquainted with the region’s leaders – said Baily after an ARM’s contingent was sent to an international exercise “Saber Guardian 2017.”
According to Baily, the Adriatic Bill is an important forum that is working on the membership in NATO for its members, but it also serves as a forum for a regional security.
-Three of the members of the Adriatic Bill are now NATO members and I hope that the others will go in the same direction. It didn’t always happen with the speed we all wished to happen, but the Bill remains not only as a forum that works on the membership in NATO but as a forum for a regional security. There are countries that are observers, country members, and the Bill is an important forum for a regional security and cooperation – said Baily.
The Vice President of the US, Mike Pence, on the 2nd of August in Podgorica will take part in the meeting of the high representatives of the countries members and the countries that are observers at the Adriatic Bill.
