Baily: Pržino Agreement is not at a standstill

-

The Pržino Agreement is not at a standstill, and the political leaders next week should come to an agreement over the date for elections, answered the US Ambassador to Macedonia, Jess Baily to journalists questions in Ohrid today.

“No, I do not think that the Pržino Agreement is at a standstill. We, on July 20 spoke about how to move forward. The political leaders arranged a meeting for next week to come to a decision over the date for elections, so I do not think that the process is at a standstill”, stated Baily.

Ambassador Baily was in Ohrid to participate in the Security Forum which was organized in the Marshall centre, where experts from the country and from the surrounding areas debated the decisions of the NATO summit in Warsaw and the security challenges in the region.

“The Alliance is not only a defensive structure, but a community of countries who promote the values of democracy, the rule of law, and freedom. It is a key part of the Alliance and it is inserted in the first paragraph of the organization. That is why in some of the conclusions about Macedonia from the Warsaw Summit emphasizes the importance of continuing reforms in this direction, particularly through the implementation of the Pržino Agreement”, said Baily.
