Bahamas and Bermudas among the top five foreign investors

-

Last year, there were foreign investments in Macedonia in the amount of 624 million euros which was a record high since 2010 and onwards. Out of that amount, 404 million euros were direct investments and 220 euros are unallocated gain i.e. a reinvestment of assets by foreign companies that have been operating in this country for a long time.

On the list of five biggest investors for last year are Great Britain with invested 113 million euros, Germany, (38 million euros), Turkey (36 million euros), The Bermudas (36 million euros) and the Bahamas (31 million euros).

It is evident that among the five biggest investors are two exotic countries that are known as tax havens.
