Gruevski’s plane forced to land in Zurich

-

The government delegation led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, who was returning from Strasbourg, was forced to land in Zurich, says “Telma“.

– According to preliminary information, I can confirm that while returning from Strasbourg, a defect occurred in flight of the government plane, carrying the Prime Minister with his associates, after which the plane was forced to land in Zurich. According to the information I have, present on board say they heard loud and penetrating sound, which later led to the disruption of the internal pressure and the pilot immediately tried to reduce the height in order to try to reduce the pressure and, according to the protocol for such situations, the plane landed at the nearest airport – said Gjorgjiev.

He added that all passengers are well and that competent authorities should take all procedural actions to establish the facts.

– Prime Minister Gruevski and all passengers on board feel well, and the plane is being repaired in Nuremberg – stated government spokesman.

Government plane “Learjet 60” was bought in 2005 for 10.8 million dollars. It is one of the best selling jet aircraft from middle business class and is deemed reliable, convenient and extremely quick.

The plane has seven seats. Its cruising speed is 782 kilometers per hour, and the maximum is 859 kilometers per hour.

It can pass 4,600 kilometers, i.e. it can cover almost the whole of Europe, without landing.

It is a quiet aircraft which can also land at airports that have noise restrictions.
