-

The day after tomorrow, Ali Ahmeti, leader of DUI will visit Athens. In Greece it is widely believed that the visit is part of the effort to find a faster solution to the hopeless situation over the name dispute.
In analysing the Greek newspaper “To Vima”, Ahmeti’s meeting with Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias is widely believed to be part of a Greek strategy to find a compromise and a solution over the name dispute.
Greek sources have told “Meta”, that Ahmeti’s visit is of his own accord and initiative, and are part of his own efforts to maintain contacts with the International Community.
Our sources say that this meeting is not some kind of message from the Greek Government nor was the meeting their initiative, and all the key issues that should be said were already discussed with Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki.

Ali Ahmeti who will be accompanied by Vice Prime Minister for the Framework Agreement, Musa Xhaferi, and Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Fatmir Besimi at the meeting with the Greek Foreign Minister, will not be their in the capacity as Government officials, the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told “Meta”.
The MFA said that it was a party meeting, and that the Government’s coalition partner did not coordinate with them about the topic of the meeting.
