Arsovska-Tomovska to OSCE/ODHIR: The Opposition are Using State Resources for Party Aims


The Minister for Information Society and Administration, Marta Arsovska-Tomovska has addressed an open letter to the Mission of OSCE/ODIHR in which she criticizes the opposition claiming they are using institutional resources for party activities.

She added that opposition representatives in the institutions are using institutional resources for political activities.

“The party’s resources or party’s sponsors are financing posters, fliers, and websites where the country’s signature are also placed and from these the authority of the state institutions is called upon, the legal framework and authorizations are constantly usurped and other authorizations are called upon,” as was said by Arsovska-Tomovska in her letter.

In the letter, she notifies the OSCE/ODIHR that the opposition are creating the perception that the ruling party are applying political pressure to employees in the public sector, and that perception is also strengthened by NGO’s

Minister Arsovska-Tomovska has called upon the OSCE/ODIHR Mission to monitor the situation objectively and to report objectively about the election process on the basis of evidence and facts.
