Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church Archbishop Stefan sent an Easter message on the occasion of the greatest Christian holiday of Easter.
“Christ’s resurrection is the foundation of salvation, it is the largest and most joyful event in history. And if there is a day of rejoicing among all days – it is the day of Christ’s resurrection, if there was a holiday celebration above all others, it’s the holiday of holidays – Easter “, reads the message.
On the day, according to the message, that the human race went from slavery to sin to the freedom of love, that day God man deliver us from death and granted us eternal life.
“This year, our joy is divided in to two: In this year of our Lord 2016, marking 1,100 years of blissful appeasement of our patron and archierarch of ancient throne University – St. Kliment Ohridski. For eleven centuries he prays for us. Eleven centuries he testifies in the Eternal light of the Holy Gospel of Christ, and neatly leads us to illuminate the way to the kingdom of the risen savior and Lord. And on this great day, prayer is talking to this devotee of our kin – to beg for philanthropy from God, and understanding and brotherly love between our Orthodox people. There is no better or noble time and more blessed day of Easter, and the name of our spiritual mother – the Macedonian Orthodox Church, to call for unity among our people, trying to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. Having gained this gift, we will be able to wisely and without offense to respond to all the challenges that confront us everyday and to respect the dignity of others, to cater for the welfare of everyone and everyone around us, “said Archbishop Stefan in his Easter message.
