Ambassador Jess Baily was accredited to observe the elections as part of the international observing mission of the election process, announced for Meta the US Embassy in Skopje, after the accusations that the American ambassador has been visiting polling stations and has been photographing with activists and members of SDSM.

“As in the past, yesterday, the US Embassy and other diplomatic missions, had their teams that were observing the elections. Ambassador Baily was one of the accredited observers. It was part of the normal efforts for international observing of the elections” announced the US Embassy.

The second round of the local elections in Macedonia were also observed yesterday by OSCE/ODIHR’s observing team that consisted of 12 observers from 26 countries, including the ambassadors of the Netherlands, Great Britain and France, Wouter Plomp, Charles Garrett, and Christian Thimonier.
