Albania have raised there security level

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama had an emergency meeting where he urged all institutions to take additional measures to increase the level of security.

Prime Minister Rama asked for additional security measures on vital facilities such as, border crossings, border patrols, military facilities, ports, airports, schools, hospitals, places large numbers many people gather, hydroelectric plants, water supply, telephone and the Internet centres, and even the television stations

The session and additional security measures requested by the Prime Minister of Albania as recent threats may prove Albania to be a target for terrorist attacks by the Islamic State. The threat came through an electronic mail message  (e-mai)  to the Albanian Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri.

“Now it is your turn! The a holy war against all those involved against ISIS. You will be afraid and will fall to your knees before Allah”, the message, which ends with the traditional and distinct Islamic saying” Allah is great! “.

After this message the members of anti-terrorist units of the Albanian police opened an investigation into the threat.

This is not the first threat jihadists have sent to Albania, 150 people from Albania have gone and joined the ranks on the battlefields in Syria, where 15 of them have already died.
