If there are elections tomorrow, Putin would get 75 percent of Russian votes

If elections for head of state are held on Sunday, three-quarters of the Russians, or 75 percent, would vote for President Vladimir Putin, according to a recent survey of the Fund for Public Opinion Research (FOM).

Thus, the electoral rating of Putin has reached a new record level when, six months ago, 71 percent of Russians were ready to cast their vote for him.

From the other politicians, according to the survey results, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky, could count on four percent of the votes, Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov on three percent and one percent have the head of the party Just Russia Sergei Mironov and a former leader of the Civic Platform, businessman Mikhail Prokhorov.

One percent of respondents said they would choose another politician, while one percent would give invalid ballots, and nine percent said they wouldn’t vote.
