Ahmeti: There is a possibility of starting upheavals in the country because of geopolitical reasons

-

The new reformatory government will be formed soon and the newly appointed president of the Parliament will be performing his share of the obligations in order to quicken this process, said DUI’s party leader Ali Ahmeti during the last night’s meeting with the special representative of the SCE’s president, Ambassador Christian Strohal and the OSCE’s Ambassador in Macedonia Nina Suomalainen.

Ahmeti and Strohal had talks about the country’s political situation after the events at the Parliament on the 27th of April. In this context, DUI’s party leader expressed his gratitude to OSCE’s mission in Macedonia for the continuous contact with the MPs during the violence at the Parliament.

At the meeting, Ahmeti, as was announced by DUI, had talks about the priorities of the new government as well as the reforms in the judiciary, the Euro-Atlantic integration, the Ohrid frame agreements, the good interethnic and neighborly relations, and opening new jobs.

At the same time, the party leader expressed his concern of the possibility of instigating upheavals in the country for geopolitical interests and has asked the international community to turn its attention towards the situation in the country and the region.
