DUI’s party leader, Ali Ahmeti, after the meeting with SDSM’s president, Zoran Zaev, announced that they didn’t talk about the signatures for receiving a mandate for a new government.

– In Macedonia, the Albanian language is guaranteed by the Constitution. These days we shall summon the presidency in order to make important decisions for the Albanians. At today’s meeting with SDSM’s leader, Zoran Zaev we didn’t talk about the signatures necessary for forming a new government, but the different stances of DUI and SDSM. Both parties’ experts are expected to find a joint solution. I can say that we don’t have big differences with SDSM regarding the proposal for the use of the Albanian language 0 said Ahmeti after the three-hour meeting with Zaev.

The media which was reporting in Macedonian language wasn’t provided a translator for DUI’s party leader statement. When asked to say a few sentences in Macedonian regarding today’s meeting, Ahmeti requested that the Albanian colleagues, journalists should provide help.

When asked, Ahmeti said that he talked with SDSM’s party leader in Macedonian.

Previously, SDSM’s party leader Zoran Zaev announced that at the meeting there were talks about whether the proposals were in line with the Constitution, but stressed he will not allow changes in the Constitution, even at the cost of not being granted the signatures for receiving a mandate.
