-

The Parliament of Republic of Macedonia cancelled the sixth session where the agenda of the day were the draft decision of granting consent to the general acts of the Attorney General, Marko Zvrlevski. The Parliament’s officials inform that the session has been rescheduled for Monday at 11:00am instead of today.

The coordinator, Ilija Dimovski one of the ten parliamentary groups of VMRO-DPMNE which were formed yesterday, informed “Meta” that the parliamentary groups are in a phase of overcoming the tension in Parliament.

“We are currently in the process of coordinating together with the parliamentary groups of SDSM and DUI, because yesterday’s session ended in a lot of tension. It is positive that Parliament Speaker Xhaferi did not schedule the new session, therefore he gave opportunity for the tension to calm down and additionally to agree”, said Dimovski.

Yesterday, Parliament Speaker, Talat Xhaferi, interrupted the session, after MP Dimitar Stevanandzija representing himself as a coordinator to one of the ten parliamentary groups of VMRO-DPMNE, asked for a break of 60 minutes.

Before the session ended, Parliament Speaker Xhaferi said that what the MPs from VMRO-DPMNE were doing was an obvious abuse of the acts and that the citizens will easily understand what is actually happening.

According to Parliament’s Rule and Regulations, coordinators of parliamentary groups are allowed to discuss on the rostrum for more that 15 minutes can appear for procedural objections for three minutes. Also, each coordinator of the parliamentary group has right to ask for one hour break during the day.
