-

The Sale of new cars on the Macedonian market, experts evaluate that the situation is between stable and low.

The decrease in sales of new cars, has had a great impact on imports of used cars, which is constantly increasing, but the effects of the economic crisis can be felt.

“The year will end with 4,000 vehicles sold, from all distributors and at the level of “Porsche Macedonia” sales will be from 1,500 to 2,000 vehicles”, said the General Director of “Porsche Macedonia,” Zlatko Mucunski.

The co-owner of “Mi da grand motors,” Marjan Minovski also confirmed that this year will end with the 3800-3900 vehicles sold by all importers, which indicates an increase in sales compared to the years during the economic crisis, when the sales were 300-400 cars a year.

“The automotive industry in Macedonia is behind its neighbouring Balkan countries. But despite the difficult working conditions, all importers of cars started investing and building showrooms in major buildings by world standards, which were equipped to work with all the tools, technologies etc. In 2011 a law was brought in, a terrible populist policy for imported old vehicles. The Macedonian market entered more than 150,000 of such vehicle”, Marijan Minovski said.

According to the Customs Administration in the first 10 months of this year, 23 547 vehicles passed through customs, of which 3,432 were new and 18,250 were old cars.
