The Ministry of Health of North Macedonia informs that in yesterday evening’s deadly fire that destroyed the modular COVID-19 hospital in the city of Tetovo, 14 people lost their lives. Before the blaze, 26 people were being treated in the COVID-19 centre and 12 of them were saved by the emergency services. The survivors are being treated in the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo and their lives are not endangered.
The Ministry also informs that no medical personnel lost their lives in the blaze, but several were injured.
The Ministry of Health expresses condolences to the families of the victims and deep regret over the horrible invident.
