Zaev is asking Xhaferi to set a term for questions posted by MPs

-

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has sent a letter to the President of the Parliament, Talat Xhaferi, in which he requests, in accordance with the procedures, to set a term for having weekly thematic discussions in a period of one hour.

This demand, as Zaev states in his letter, is in the context of the complete implementation of the “3-6-9” plan and the obligation of the Parliament’s duty to monitor the work of the Government and its security and intelligence agencies to be regular and a routine.

“I would like to express the Government’s unequivocal readiness for organizing weekly, thematic discussions in a time span of one hour, in a period and format that you will assess as the most appropriate and in accordance with your procedures. Also, the Government strives to include the Parliament in the reform of the intelligence and security agencies that is currently under way. The Government obliges and accepts additional elaboration in front of various parliamentary agencies regarding the proposed laws on an expert level” states Zaev in the letter addressed to Xhafery.
