Citizens are most deserving of the positive recommendation from the European Commission, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told a press conference in Government, after the recommendation for the start of negotiations with Macedonia was announced by the European Commission (EC) to the European Council.
“Some of the successes are attributed to the opposition due to joint compromises. The government is ready to accept different opinions. The government devoted themselves to the reforms. The decision to put an end to the harmful politics was made by the people. The government listened to the citizens, who know the importance of Macedonia’s move towards the EU. We will continue with the reform package. The government has shown that it is inclusive and accepts different opinions, and the opposition has shown that it is aware of its own responsibility”, said the Prime Minister at a press conference, which was attended by a dozen ministers from key departments.
Zaev said that he is talking with Greece with the same level of commitment, to resolve the name dispute and, as he says, to close this issue.
