Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov celebrated the 115th anniversary of the Ilinden uprising together in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
Prime Ministers Zaev and Borisov held a bilateral meeting before the beginning of the ceremony, and the meeting coincided with the first anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of friendship, good neighborly relations and cooperation between the two countries in Skopje on Ilinden, August 2 last year.
At the meeting, the two prime ministers supported the efforts to build a common future for the citizens of both countries, overcoming their differences, strengthening economic cooperation as a process that will bring stability and prosperity to the entire region.
“We will put the history and the past as solid foundations on which we will begin to build our European and Euro-Atlantic future for our countries, nations and the entire region. Only this leads to a quality life. The Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria have joined together, have offered hands to develop our relations, “Zaev said.
After the official speeches, the two prime ministers Zaev and Borisov laid fresh flowers on the monument of “Goce Delchev” – on the central square of Macedonia in Blagoevgrad.
