One possibility, in the current situation whereby the president will not sign off on the Law on Languages, is for the SDSM parliamentary group to file an initiative with the Constituional Court, in order to consider whether president Gjorgi Ivanov is adhering to the Constitution, said prime minister Zoran Zaev, while responding to a journalist’s question at today’s press conference, where the Government announced their decision to terminate the concession agreement regarding the Kazandol mine.
When asked if they were considering to file an initiative with the Constitutional Court, to review whether President Ivanov is adhering to the Constitution, Zaev responded affirmatively.
“We have considered several possibilities, and of course, that is one of them. This has been one of the procedures that have been debated within the SDSM parliamentary group, and that is whether it should be considered by the Constitutional Court”, said Zaev.
