We shall reach the European standard in 30 years from now if the GDP has a growth of 4%

-

Macedonian citizens will reach the European standard of living in 30 years if in the forthcoming years, the GDP has a growth of 4%, and the EU’s GDP growth is 2%.

This is what shows the latest study by Vladimir Gligorov of the Vienesse Institute, which was presented today in “Holiday Inn.” The presentation, among others, was attended by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, the VP for Economic Affairs, Kocho Angjushev, and members of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia.

Gligorov thinks that for the growth of the economy in Macedonia the most important is the support of domestic companies, who have to sell their products in foreign markets. He recommends that investments should be made in innovative projects, in scientific-
technological processes and to implement active measures for employment.

-The foreign investments and the technology are welcome but the country has to have its own proprietary potential – said Gligorov.

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced that he is convinced that the support of the domestic economy and the foreign investments are the most important spiral in the economic growth and the development both short term and long term.

-I ‘m convinced that we don’t have to wait for 90% of what is Europe’s average. It is achievable with the 4% of growth. The goal of the government is to increase the economic growth to be 5% of the GDP – said Zaev.
