The MPs of both VMRO-DPMNE and the Coalition for a Better Macedonia have submitted today at the parliamentary an Information about the enormous pollution of the air and will be requesting a discussion about this burning subject.
Nikola Micevski, the coordinator of VMRO-DPMNE’s MP group said that because of the current government, Macedonia has become a country with the most polluted air in Europe.
-The pollution in Macedonia is breaking new records. This government which is led by SDSM and its officials when they were an opposition party were promising that they will solve the problem with the pollution through various acts and projects. But they lied. Obviously, SDSM used the pollution only for scoring political points and that none for a second did they think about what should they do regarding this situation – said Micevski.
SDSM should at least once take the responsibility and for once it should show sincerely that it is worried about the citizens since they are on power and they can accomplish everything they were promising to improve the quality of the air, and not pray every day for a wind to blow or for rain to fall in order to clear out the smog that the citizens are breathing every day.
he also said that VMRO’DPMNEćs MPs will demand a public discussion to be held at the Committee for transportation, and environment regarding the enormous pollution, where civil associations, environmental organizations, experts and others will be summoned to attend and who can contribute to preventing the worsening of the situation.
