Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski scheduled a session today at 16:00 in Parliament.
In a statement informing the public that the decision to assemble Parliament was adopted after today’s decision made by the Constitutional Court.
“As President of Parliament, taking into account today’s decision made by the Constitutional Court, I inform the public that on the basis of their jurisdiction defined by the Constitution, for today, May 18, 2016, at 16:00 I have scheduled a 101 session in the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia. I also want to express my deep sentiment that the further development of democratic processes in Macedonia can best be accomplished in the Parliament of Macedonia. That is I why I urge all MPs regardless of political determination to take active participation. At the same time, I express my strong belief that only through constant promotion of relations between all relevant stakeholders in the country, is the best way possible to help towards achieving leading Macedonian strategic priorities, which are, NATO and EU membership, improvement of strategic relations with the US, as well as creating all the necessary conditions for economic, social and universal development of Macedonia “, said a statement sent from the Office of President of Parliament.
