Today the Commission of Finance and Budget will continue to discuss the budget revision

-

Today at 10:30am, the Commission for Finance and Budget will have the fifth session discussing the Government’s proposed budget revision for 2017.

Prior to the beginning of the discussion, VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM were still having the same party views regarding the budget revision. VMRO-DPMNE said that “SDS are continuously and shamelessly putting citizens in debt”, SDSM said again that “the budget revision provides higher salaries for motivated workers and satisfied citizens”.

“For the first time in the history, with the support for domestic companies, workers in the leather, textile and footwear industry, will not be discriminated and will take the same minimum wage as workers in other industries. Besides, raising the minimum wage, the Government will subsidize annual holidays to the lowest paid workers and will adopt measures that will equalize the working conditions with domestic investors with foreign investors”, SDSM said in a statement.

VMRO-DPMNE said that citizens wanted to know why the Government had borrowed 70 million euros, in two months time.

“Regarding the budget revision, the SDS Government envisages an increase in borrowing by 150 million euros which is more than planned. Does the SDS Government plan to spend on the promised minimum wage of 16,000 denars, an average salary of 30,000 denars, a salary of 100,000 denars for doctors, or plans to spend this money on party employments, purchasing octopuses, seafood and flowers arrangements”, VMRO-DPMNE said in a statement.
