Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov will meet with his Serbian counterpart, Ivica Dačić, in Niš on Monday in an effort to warm relations between Macedonia and Serbia. After the meeting, the two ministers will hold a joint press conference.
The meeting in Niš follows a telephone conversation between Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, where the two agreed to resolve the issue through direct dialogue, as well as measures to improve neighborly relations.
Belgrade withdrew its embassy staff from Skopje on Sunday for allegedly “offensive intelligence activities” against Serbia, and after the conversation between Zaev and Vučić, the embassy staff returned to Macedonia yesterday.
