There is a consensus for reconciliation, but red lines must not be crossed, says Zaev

-

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, following a meeting with the Coordinative Body for Reconciliation and Integration in Parliament, said that a consensus was reached on the reconciliation process and preparation for a legal solution.

“Let’s now leave it to the legal teams, who under the leadership of these special groups will take the next steps. Today, we expressed political will. With my visit to the group, I confirmed my personal will and will as prime minister,” said Zaev.

The prime minister said that there is will and desire, but that the red lines must not be crossed, as he says “so it doesn’t even occur to us to try and influence the justice system.”

He reminded that reforms and the independence of the judiciary are an imperative in the EU integration processes for NATO and EU accession.

Zaev says that it is necessary to tell the difference between, what is violence, and what is not violence, what is physical violence, what it means to devise and the realization of that and what it is for someone to go with the crowd, be seduced or carried away.
