The SEC has begun to distribute election material, the ballots are being printed by “Polyesterday”

The State Election Commission today began distributing confidential election material to municipal election commissions for the upcoming local elections scheduled for Sunday, October 15th.

The ballot papers were printed by the Printing House Polyesterday.

SEC Vice-President Redzep Prekopuca stated that the distribution was proceeding according to plan and that so far, the process has been proceeding properly.

“Prior to all Municipal Election Commissions (MECs), we distributed unconfirmed voting material. Here we are together with the owner of the company that printed the ballots for the first time and I can say that we are satisfied”, said Prekopuca.

The owner of the Polyesterday printing house, Filip Spasovski, said that the printing of the election material was an interesting project involving all 170 employees in the company. He thanked the SEC for their confidence.

The sixth local elections in Macedonia will be held at 3,480 polling stations in 80 municipalities and the City of Skopje. The campaign for the first election round will end tomorrow at midnight.

The second round of elections is scheduled for two weeks later, on October 29th. The election campaign for the second round ends at midnight on October 27th.
