The Parliament began the discussion for the appointment of a public prosecutor and then stopped

-

The Parliament began the discussion for the appointment of Ljubomir Joveski for a new public prosecutor, but after an explanation about nomination by the Deputy Minister for Justice, Oliver Ristovski and the speech given by VMRO-DPMNE’s MP, Ilija Dimovski, the president of the Parliament, Talat Xhaferri, stopped the session and for its continuation he will additionally send notifications.

In his explanation, the Deputy Minister for Justice stated that Joveski has built his entire career within the legal institutions i.e. the Court, the Public Prosecution and as a member of the Council of Public Prosecutors and that his professional experience and his high moral features were the main reasons why the government has proposed him for this position.

-His biography is a guarantee for a successful accomplishment of his position as a Public Prosecutor in front of which lie many challenges – said Ristovski.

The MP and the coordinator of one of the 10 VMRO-DPMNE’s MP groups, Ilija DImovski, in his speech didn’t problematize the proposal for Joveski’s appointment for this position but he asked the public prosecutor to be nominated by the opposition and to be elected with two-thirds majority including a control of the work of the Public Prosecution.
