The Appellate Court Skopje upheld the appeal made by the Special Prosecutor’s Office regarding the ruling made by Basic Court Skopje 1 for the “Slaps” case, which is related to the violence outside the Municipality of Centar in June, 2013, and ruled that the evidence obtained from the wiretapped material can be used as evidence in the criminal proceedings.
“With this decision, the evidence obtained from the wiretapped material can be used as evidence in the criminal proceedings”, said the Appellate Court Skopje in a statement.
The suspects in the case are former Prime Minister and leader of the VMRO-DPMNE party, Nikola Gruevski, former Minister of Transport and Communications, Mile Janakieski, MP Daniela Rangelova and another 11 individuals are charged with the violence outside the Municipality of Centar in June, 2013.
