Skopje, 17 July, 2017 - 16:07 (META)

The Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski, during today’s discussion of the Commission for Financing and Budget regerading the rebalance of the budget, has stressed that the basic aim of the rebalance is to decrease the non-productive expenditures and to provide space for the realization of the policies of the new government.

-The rebalancing is not a new budget but an adaptation of the current budget. Because of that, for the realization of its basic goal, there are certain limitations. The first limitation are the unpaid obligations from the past. The second limitation are the already concluded agreements for current or future projects which, if terminated, the state will have pay penalties for – said Tevdovski.

He said that the cut of non-productive expenditures of the government has provided an opportunity for budgeting new measures that will provide support for the citizens or for domestic companies. These measures are minimum wages, support for small and medium sized enterprises and the farmers, canceling the television license.
