Judge from the recordings, Sofija Lalichik, is rated “very good”

Since becoming a judge in the Criminal Court at the end of 2012, judge Sofija Lalichik finished a total of 525 cases.

In the audio recordings released by opposition leader Zoran Zaev, we heard Lalichik as an interlocutor to Director of UBK Sasho Mijalkov. In their conversation, Mijalkov tells Lalichik that he arranged thins for her to become a judge in the Criminal Court.

As Basic Court 1 replied, she was rated as “very good” by the Judicial Council.

– As an associate and as a judge, she has solid results, particularly in the judicial proceeding. Under all criteria by which the Judicial Council rates, the judge won 183 points for 2013 and is rated as “very good”, while the 2014 assessment is still not completed – replied the Court for us.

In 2013, the judge had 28 cases confirmed by the Court of Appeal, eight cases were disrupted, while 9 of them were modified. Overall, in 2013, the judge worked on 282 cases, solved 184, and 98 remained unresolved.

In 2014, she has 31 cases by the Court of Appeal, six cases were disrupted, one was partly disrupted and four decisions were modified. In the previous year, the judge worked on 243 cases, solved 185 cases, while 57 cases remained unresolved. Supreme Court confirmed five of her decisions and annulled one decision.

Judicial Council decides on the assessment of judges based on the annual parameters for quantity and quality, which the court submits annually in a form of an opinion for the assessment of the judge to the Council.

Asked for comment from “Deutsche Welle” whether professional and professional preparation, or alleged party interventions were key for her appointment as a judge, Judge Sofia Lalichik replied: “No comment and I do not know if I can comment because the court has an official spokesman. My professional parameters and outcomes are measurable and anyone can inform on them in the court.”

According to data published on the website of the State Anti-Corruption Commission, Lalichik reported an apartment of 62 square meters worth 70,000 euros, and car “Nissan” worth more than 14,000 euros. She also reported stocks in three places, all purchased in 2007. Last year, she took a loan of about 8,000 euros.
