Secondary school students today gathered at the City Park in Skopje in protest under the slogan “The struggle continues”. The “High School plenum” say their demands remain the same, ie the abolition of external testing and state graduation to remain the same for high school students already enrolled and as for new students a new concept to be formed, where the creation remains neutral.
“The only meeting between the negotiating teams of “High School plenum” and the Ministry of Education and Science was last year, during a high school camping trip. Now we’ll go to the Ministry of Education to remind the Minister of our demands. We will protest until they invite us for talks and meet our requirements. Do not exclude the boycott of classes and the high school camp, as last year”, says Nikola Krstevski from the “High School plenum.”
They say they had a lot of pressure not to attend the protest and some secondary schools were locked and they phones were taken from some high school students.
