SDSM: Hahn must understand that there can be no elections without equal oppurtunity for all parties

-

It must be made clear to the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, that there can not be quality elections without equal opportunities for all political parties to equally participate in the electoral process, and for the citizens to be able to freely cast their vote, reacted SDSM to the Commissioner’s statement for the Bulgarian “Kapital”, where he says, it does not matter whether everyone participates in the elections, but what is important, is that they are conducted in a fair and democratic manner.

“In “The truth about Macedonia” it proves how VMRO-DPME and Gruevski organize elections, with crime and corruption, through pressure and threats, phantom voters, and forged identity cards. Even in the Commissioner’s statement, he confirms that some of the obligations from the Political Agreement have not been met. It is precisely them, who have to provide fair and democratic elections: an updated electoral roll (advice from the OSCE / ODIHR in 2011, 2013 and 2014) and free media (according to the Przhino Agreement, planned for August). Without the full implementation of the Agreement, there are simply no conditions for fair and regular early election and election process”, said the statement from SDSM.
