Rade Šerbedžija arrives tomorrow for the “Manaki Brothers” International Film Festival

Bitola is putting the final touches to tomorrow’s opening ceremony for the 37th International Cinematographers Film Festival “Manaki Brothers”, otherwise known as the Manaki Brothers International Film Festival.

Tomorrow, in front of Bitola’s Cultural Centre, a red carpet will be laid for world-famous film-makers, actors, as well as film lovers, not just Macedonian, but from across the world are expected to attend. Festival organizers are preparing to greet the Australian cinematographer John Seale and his wife, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, the “Golden Camera 300”.

Tomorrow, Bitola, the city of the Manaki Brothers is expecting the renowned actor and director Rade Šerbedžija who will be attending the opening gala and the premier of the film “The Liberation of Skopje” with his wife and daughter.
Alexandra Bubevska, the spokesperson for the festival said that most of the guests had already arrived in Bitola, and this year, over a hundred journalists from Macedonia and across the world will be attending the festival.

“We will have many accredited domestic and foreign journalists who will be following the festival this year. We already have news crews from Slovenia, Greece, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. You can already feel the festival atmosphere, everyone is working fast and with such adrenaline as they make the final preparations”, said Bubevska.

This year, all guests will be accommodated in hotels and smaller accommodations across Bitola. Film showings will be available as well as valuable museum exhibitions at the Institute and Museum of Bitola, and the ancient site of Heraclea.
