Popovski: We expect the Greek police to organise some sort of circulation on the border

-

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Popovski, today after a meeting with Ambassadors of the EU member states said that migrants who wait several days for entering the country will not be missed out and that Greek police are expected to clear up the situation on the border, to enable the flow of those fleeing warring hot spots. Minister Popovski said he would take all measures necessary to protect the border because of the influx of migrants, and to what extent that will be, the countries security services will assess the situation.

“For us there are three priorities regarding the case of migrant crisis. The first is to ensure humane treatment for the refugees, the second – security and border control and targeting migrants on the border who can provide their registration, and the third – is the division of those refugees fleeing from a crisis and those who want to live in EU countries due to of economic interest”, Minister Popovski said.

He added that the aid the country is supposed to be getting to deal with the migrant crisis will not be the criteria for action and believes that these contingents will come to help ministries that engage resources for dealing with migrants.
