Construction activities for restoration of six bridges that were damaged by floods began. Four bridges are extensively repaired, while the preparation of a remediation project is ongoing for two bridges, which suffered major damage from the floods, informed Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski.
The government set aside 3.5 million denars for the repairs of the bridge on river Pchinja in the village Dolno Konjare.
– This is an important bridge for residents of Rzhanichino and Konjare because it connects the two settlements. Restoration is expected to be ready by April this year, and 3.5 million denars are allocated for this purpose – said Janakieski.
He announced that on Monday will begin construction of local roads in 38 municipalities in the country, for which are allocated 7.2 million euros. Predictably, these local roads should be ready by the end of the year.
– There is an investment of 7.2 million euros for 46 local roads in 38 municipalities, with length of 57 kilometers. On Monday we are starting with construction and reconstruction of all these local roads, which should be completed by the end of this year – said Janakieski.
