Osmani: I expect an unconditional recommendation from the EU Council to start negotiations

-

We expect the valorization of Macedonia’s reform efforts to be noted in the upcoming report by the European Commission, where we expect a clear and unconditional recommendation from the EU Council to begin the negotiations.

This was stated today by Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bujar Osmani, who is on a working visit to Brussels and is accompanied by the European Integration Adviser to the Prime Minister’s Office, Bojan Maricic.

They met with the Directorate General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DGNPEN), Christian Danielsson, and also had a briefing with representatives from the Directorate for Progress in Macedonia.

The Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs added that “before the European Commission’s April report, the government is completely focused on the reforms, as well as the removal of all other political obstacles to the country’s integration path into the EU.”
