Not even real bullets can kill the idea of the “Colourful Revolution”

-

We are not afraid! Not even real bullets can kill the idea of the “Colourful Revolution” declared demonstrators united under the civil movement “I Protest”, despite heavy rain in Skopje today.

Citizens for a month and a half now have protested against the decision made by President Gjorge Ivanov to pardon politicians and their close associates, reminded everyone why they took to the streets, and again threw coloured balloons at the building of the Ministry of Justice.

Before Parliament they played a part of the “bombs”, which was published last year by the opposition SDSM, referring to the election irregularities.

“The government for 10 years have ruled by applying the motto ‘divide and rule’. They divided Macedonians against Macedonians, or Macedonians against Albanian, you are a patriot or a traitor. We heard statements by Jelena Zugic about rubber bullets and statements from journalist Boban Nonkovic requiring real bullets on demonstrators. We are not afraid. And with real bullets they can not kill the idea of the “Colourful Revolution”. There are many of us colours, different, but we are all equal”, said one of the speakers tonight.

Today’s protest traditionally began outside the building of the Special Prosecutor’s Office and peacefully ended outside Parliament.

“People, we will see you all again on Monday” urged the organisers of the protests.
