The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Supplies, Ljupčo Nikolovski, at the press conference today, announced that by the end of this month or by the start of the next, the subsidies for farmers for 2016 will be paid completely.
In the past two months we have paid 60 million of euros for subsidies through the program for a direct financial support. Yesterday, the farmers were paid 5.7 millions of euros for various points and cultures on the whole territory. The remaining part of around 10 millions of euros from the program dated from 2016, which in procedure, will be completely paid during this month or at the start of September – said Nikolovski.
He said that he is in contact with the new director of the Payment Agency in order to solve the payments dating from 2012 and 2015, where there is a delay for various reasons.
