Mickoski: Zaev gave Bulgaria an opportunity to block the option of opening new chapters in the negotiations

-

With the Treaty for good neighborliness, Bulgaria will have an opportunity to reassess Macedonia’s behavior along its road towards the European Union as Zaev has accepted that Bulgaria will not to allow opening of any chapter in the membership negotiations if any of its goals and positions aren’t met, said today the General Secretary of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski. He said that would mean new problems and new consequences for the Republic of Macedonia and the person responsible for that is Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

At the press conference that took place at the party’s headquarters, he said that the agreement has a “disgraceful formulation used for defining the Macedonian language” and there is no symmetry for the rights and obligations of both parties.

-The Treaty doesn’t define the Macedonian nation as a real uniqueness and as identity -wise unique, and Zoran Zaev in a shameful and disgraceful manner is renouncing the care for the Macedonian national minority. The Treaty predict a really dangerous possibility for a change in the Macedonian school books and other identity landmarks that are part of our historical legacy – said Mickoski.
