Mickoski calls for a protest march on Saturday in Strumica

-

The leader of the opposition VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, called for a protest march in Strumica on Sunday, starting at 1 pm starting from the park in Strumica to the municipality building.

“I, like many in VMRO-DPMNE, are determined to go all the way and not back down until we bring victory for Macedonia. It is time to hear our common voice. To overcome the injustice and to hear from that defiant voice that is screaming inside your hearts. Let’s say yes, it must be better than this”, says Mickoski.

In his address which he begins with “dear fellow citizens”, he says that we are living a life where defeat is an everyday occurrence, and there are no victories.

“There is division in our society, the government and its ministers are convincing you that everything is pink with an embellished image of what you really see, leaving you to live everyday with their cruelty which makes you passive. Additionally, the Prime Minister says that the name Macedonia must be erased, leaving an emptiness that stings, because it is the name under which our ancestors grew and died, and where your children were born. The name you use with honour, dignity and a trembling in the soul, now you say you had to give it up because it would be better, and you know that it is not so”, says Mickoski.

When asked if it could be done differently, he said only if “our voices are raised and are heard, along with the voices of your close relatives and friends.” At the end, he says he entered politics with pure thought and hopes to leave behind something good for the future of the country.
