Mickoski: After the economic growth, Macedonia is at the bottom of Europe

-

Today, the State Office for Statistics, again confirmed poor economic policy conducted by SDSM, said VMRO-DPMNE’s leader Hristijan Mickoski in his video link.

He added that with the rise in the domestic gross product of 0.1 percent, “we are at the bottom, undoubtedly”.

“On the other hand, regarding gross revenue, a 37% decline has been recorded in the construction sector, which in fact paints a picture of the Government’s incompetence. The lack of own projects and the suspension of the previous Government’s projects adversely affects the Macedonian construction industry and the Macedonian economy as a whole”, Mickoski said.

He also said that, additionally, a decline of seven percent has been noted in the information and communications sector, which, according to SDSM, paid great attention to its campaign.

“Nonetheless, regarding the expenditure, the decline has been again alarming in gross investments. Namely, in the first quarter of 2018, there has been a decline of 9% registered of gross investments, thus continuing the de-investment policy, inherent to SDSM. Additionally, the realization of capital investments of only 7.4% in the first quarter of 2018 contributed to public spending to negatively affect GDP, i.e. causing to drop by 1.4%”, Mickoski added.
