The exact date when the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Kotzias, will visit Macedonia is still unknown, announced the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Meta News Agency, after reports in the Greek media that the visit will occur on the 31st of August.
The MFA said that the meeting is planned for the end of the month, but that the both sides still haven’t determined the exact date.
Kotsias’ visit to Skopje was announced during the visit of Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, to Athens, in June, which was his first visit after he took office. The name dispute wasn’t discussed during that visit, but it is speculated that it shall be the main subject during Kotsias’ visit to Skopje, especially when it comes after his meeting in Brusells with the UN mediator in the name dispute, Matthew Nimetz.
